Hammer and Chisel

Hammer and Chisel

Hey there!!  Welcome to my blog and I can't wait to share with you the details on Hammer and Chisel.  I personally started my fitness journey 2.5 years ago with a strength training program and the difference I saw mentally and physically was amazing.  As a mom at that time with two little one, not enough sleep in a day, I finally realized in order to give the best to my kids carving out time for fitness and good nutrition every day was a turning point.

About the trainers!!
Co-creators Sagi Kalev and Autumn Calabrese are experts when it comes to incredible physical transformations. Sagi has been crowned Mr. Israel— twice—and is a Master Professional Personal Trainer, IFBB Pro, member of the IFBB Propta Hall of Fame, Certified Nutrition Specialist, and Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist. Autumn Calabrese is a celebrity trainer, best-selling author, and working mom who has held certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the American Fitness Professionals & Associates (AFPA), and has competed at the national level in various bikini competitions.

This is a first for beachbody to have two trainers in one program

Is this just another workout that will sit on the shelf?

• The Master’s Hammer and Chisel is built on the three phases of SSP Training— Stabilization, Strength, and Power. Other workouts only focus on one or two phases, which might give you decent results. But The Master’s Hammer and Chisel program incorporates all three methods to help you relentlessly chip away fat and carve every muscle for a strong, visually stunning body in 60 days.

• 12 brand-new, 30- to 40-minute workouts that combine Sagi and Autumn’s proven techniques for 60 days of hardcore resistance training.

• Sagi and Autumn make eating for your goals simple. That’s why they included their easy-to-follow and completely customizable nutrition plan, along with 7 portion-control containers that show you how to portion out the right amount of food to help you reach your unique fitness goals.

• Flexible nutrition that allows you to lean out, sculpt and maintain, or build muscle.

• Includes options to adapt certain exercises if you have limited access to equipment. BONUS!

• Includes a modifier who demonstrates some moves at a lower intensity.

What will I need to be able to do the program?

Hammer and Chisel

Emma participated the test group for The Master's Hammer and Chisel and had great results! In 60 days, she lost over 14 inches! Her advice for starting this program? "This program is going to challenge you in a way you've never been challenged before. You CAN do this but you need to follow the program all the way. This isn't a half-ass workout. Be prepared to LEARN, to be CHALLENGED, and to see crazy results!"

Pumpkin Baked Oatmeal

Pumpkin Baked Oatmeal

Well hello Fall!!  Yesterday made fall official for the year 2015, this time of the year I start to focus on end of the year goals life, business, family, fitness, and all the things that fall between the cracks of the day.  Three weeks ago my son start preschool and of course like any mom will tell you somewhere I blink and he want from needing help with things to being a little man.  I'm thankful he is doing well, change is hard for him.  The kids go a few mornings a week to childcare so that I can work for our traditional business and they truly enjoy it.  However getting out the door in the morning is a challenge!  Someone (out of three kids) is always crying, someone does not like what is for breakfast, someone needs SOMETHING!!  So when I came across this fall recipe I wanted to give it a try, BOTH kids loved it and asked for more.  I personally like it because it falls into the 21 day fix meal plan.  If you're someone that follows this system this recipe would could for one yellow per serving and half a blue container.   The recipe makes 12 servings also I was able to make this recipe from start finish in TEN MINUTES!!  I used walnuts because that was the nut I had on hand in the house, pecans are a sweeter nut.

21 day fix meals

Ingredients
  • ½ cup walnut or pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree my favorite place to pick this up is at Trader Joe's
  • 3/4 cup almond milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil room temp.
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly  spray with nonstick cooking (I like coconut oil) spray an 8-inch square baking dish.
  2. Spread chopped walnuts or pecans on an ungreased baking sheet and toast for 4 to 6 minutes or until fragrant and light golden brown. Cool on baking sheet.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together pumpkin, milk, eggs, coconut oil, maple syrup, and vanilla; beat until smooth. Blend in oats, toasted nuts, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt; stir until mixture is well-combined.
  4. Spread oatmeal into prepared baking dish and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until set and light golden brown on top. Allow to cool in the baking dish for at least 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with fresh fruit or pure maple syrup.

90 days living on a farm

90 days living on a farm

Hey there!!  It seems like forever that I sat down and shared my life in a blog post!!  Next week will be 90 days that we moved from a 950 square home on a quarter lot to 2400 square home with 32 acres to have room to raise our kids.  Since moving our family of 5 we added two horses, 10 chickens, 4 pigs, and two goats!!  Oh and let’s not forget the one late night we saw a snapping turtle (he hasn’t been back around).  It’s been a total learning experience yes I grew up on a 40 acre farm but we only ever had horses and a few barn cats. Since moving the first night we brought our new horse home she got out and let’s just say we met the neighbors in a hurry.

Weekends before we would just leave and find things to do elsewhere!  Now instead waking up getting an early morning run in and sitting down to write out a to-do list of projects I would like to work on around the farm.  In the past 90 days we’ve had lots of company over and been able to share our home with others.  I love cooking and always new each of those “kitchen” items would be used some day.  In the kitchen the pantry has an entire section to hold all these random treasures from odd size serving platters to fun cloth napkins.

I’m not going to paint a picture that this wasn’t hard work and a lot of family time was missed while my husband was working and I was home with the kids in diapers.  But creating those memories now made all the sacrifices worth it.  Most nights we load the family up in the buggy take a family ride to feed the deer, check the fencing, check the property, and just breath.  The kids might watch 30 minutes a day of TV rather Josie and Clint are out doors “digging” up my flowers with the excavator and hauling it away with their toy dump trucks.  Growing up we didn’t even have cable till I was in 7th grade and I bagged my parents to get it, I would go to school and others would be talking about what they watched.  Looking back I’m thankful for being able to say “movie” night as a family of 5 was watched on a 13” TV rented from the local store.  I wonder what our kids will grow up and remember from living on a farm.
Clint is the same age I was when we moved to the farm I grew up on.  One of my first memories was my daddy riding his motorcycle up the back driveway and letting me ride in front of him.

In the last 90 days there has been soooo many things that needed replaced or fixed after the place being empty for 8 years from all new plumbing in and outside of the home thankful that my husband is hands on, owns an excavator, and my beachbody business.  All new gutters, all the fields mowed, fencing fix, new electrical system in the barn, barn scrapped and painted, stalls stained, new pipes in the barn, issues with the well water, all in all each project and unexpected issue is just part of moving to a place that hasn’t been maintained.  The grass was soooo long and wasn’t mowed once prior to us moving in June 1st this year.

For each project my little man is out there helping my husband with whatever he is up to!!  He has so many ideas and I must add good ideas!!  Clint is creating his own list of projects he wants to do on the farm!!  I can’t wait to see what the next 90 days brings!  Perhaps a few more animals!!  Yes we are getting cows as well!!  Clint really would like a pet turtle and talks about it every night at bed, so we will see!!  This is our crazy life and I guess I’m the zoo keeper!!

Coaching from home

Coaching from home

Hey there!!  Welcome to my blog it’s a Sunny Sunday in Pa!!  An odd time as a mother of three to have a home without little ones needing a drink, help in the bathroom, or screaming because one took a toy the other one was playing with.  I paint a picture of what 90% of my life as a mom of three looks like.  I want others to see I’m just like you!!  I started as a coach two years ago just wanting to connect with other mom’s, living in a small town a trip to the park it was odd to see others there.  Fast forward to now and I'm sitting on the patio connecting with woman from all over the United States from the comfort of our home, give me WIFI and I can work!!

Coaching from home

Two years ago I was not at my goal weight!!  I was in the middle of changing how I was eating and learning more about clean eating.  It started with as a coach that wanted  to inspire my family and let’s face it coaching becomes the ultimate accountability!!

Coaching from home

Sunday’s I know for a lot of woman can be hard, it’s time their rushing around the house in order to be out of the home 40 plus hours a week knowing their income might slowly go up at some point in time.  OR to the stay at home mom just wanting a way to earn income without having to put the kids in daycare to be able to work and provide for the family.  It's been such a blessing to show other coaches this is a real business and can truly work with their lifestyle.

Coaching from home

My coaching business is just like any business I was just running a few reports and checking where I was last July to where I am this past July and noticed my income grew 500%!!  My business mind was blown away!!  I mean I still work this business the same amount of time 20 hours a week!!  In a traditional business in order to grow your business 500% more than likely it means bigger risk, more hours, more headaches and more time invested.  Recently Bill Gates was asked if he had to do it all over again what would he change?  He would be involved in a network marketing business.

Coaching from home

Yes income is a small part of why I wanted to build this business the other part is what truly takes place off of social media and the impact you can have on someone’s life.

 Building confidence

Saying good bye to medicine for high blood pressure

Kicking lifelong habits that could age a person

Going after a position at work

Looking their best after having kids!

So what does it take?

Well here is the thing many start few stick with it!!  You need the ability to see where you want to be well let’s keep it simple you need to be a dreamer!!  But dreaming isn’t enough to be a successful coach you must be willing to work and apply the training that is offered.  Yes I might be a coach that is signed up with one of the top coaches in the network but that means nothing if I wasn’t willing to work towards those dreams.  Being teachable is key it’s totally normal to not have a clue where to start but willing to learn!  Willing to step out of your comfort zone and understand those small choices made every day will add up to something amazing over time.  Willing to treat this business like you invest 100,000 not 40 bucks.  And that pretty much sums it up!!  I will be mentoring 5 new coaches in the month of September and showing them how to duplicate what I do, scripts will be given, social media training, weekly team calls, and access to getting in the best shape of your life from the inside out.
If you ever wondered if an at home business was right for you my team of amazing coaches would love to share with you more about what a coach does "beyond the workouts".
Coaching from home

There isn't a cookie cutter coach!!  The thing that matters is not your past but what your going to do with your life experiences to better those around you in a positive way.
I'm a small town girl, that started with a small network, zero experience in this type of business, not leading much more than the dog on a walk to a girl when you search clean eating my name comes up, to over 15,000 followers on my like page country girl meets clean eating, and leading a team of amazing woman.
I will be hosting a 3 day closed facebook group starting this coming week to learn more about what a coach does and sharing with you on how to expand your network, how to earn income, the free trips earned, how to get started, how to work full time and coach and from there decide if this would be a good fit for you.

A trip to remember

 A trip to remember

It’s hard to believe the week went by this fast!!  Last week at this time I was spending the week for the first time in Nashville for an annual coach summit.  I packed my bags as my sister and I headed to Nashville with (5 month old Henry my son) to attend training and live workouts with some of the top trainers in the biz like Shawn T and Chalene Johnson.

It’s crazy to think how you think your life is going to go one way and God tugs on your heart and gives a bit of a different direction.  I’m an introvert so to be surrounded by 25,000 coaches in the network 2 years ago would of freaked me right out. However this time was spend meeting those that you communicate daily with in person.  You see these coaches end up becoming some of your best friends.

It's crazy to think how much my team has grown in a year!!  Last year I headed to Vegas all by myself to spread my wings and really came back home with my head down and ready to work.  The same thing happened again I came back with more life moments of things just clicking and truly seeing this company as just getting started.

Last year we close down the strip in Vegas while 10,000 coaches workout with all the top trainers in the business.
This year Nashville has been taken over by 25,000 coaches early in the morning to catch a live workout with Sean T.
I'm a numbers girls
Do you see a pattern in growth?
As someone that is very familiar with investing into a traditional business stepping a little bit out of the box I w...
anted to invest my time into a company I knew was going somewhere.
If you look at the the past 6 years beachbody is not the number one MLM business. And I'm totally ok with that I would rather invest where there is stability in steady growth. Each year sales continue to increase at a great rate. Keep in mind "overnight" growth comes over "overnight" pitfalls.
Projected to end the year with over 400,000 coaches to keep it simple that's a lot of lives being changed physically and financially changed. This is just in the United States and Canada at this point in time and generating over 750 million this year in sales.

With tools being released this coming year like an app, new workouts, nutrition that is more specific to your needs that will boost your shakeology, there isn't a limit on where things will go.

Next we amazing training from other top coaches in the network.  We also had the opportunity to listen to some pretty incredible speakers during the general session trainings.  Simon Sinek, author and inspirational leader spoke to us the first day as well as Chalene Johnson.  Both had amazing experiences and tips on leadership and relationships.  On the second day National Geographic Photographer Dewitt Jones spoke and boy was his presentation AMAZING.  I think if you ask my husband if it was helpful he would say yes!!  Chalene Johnson told everyone to go home and give your spouse attention you know using most men's love language.

It was amazing to come back home and jump on a zoom call with my team and share everything that we learned.  The entire time was a great time to spend with my  personally sponsored coach/sister as well.  Yesterday in beachbody body land its payday
A fresh week to help more people to live a healthier life as well as financially.  At the beginning of this year we both spent some time putting together goals for the year it's been such a blessing for Jeanette's family to have beachbody become a part of the household income. Jeanette leads with such passion in many areas of her life and today she shared her income is more then enough to c...
over their mortgage.
It's so much more then what you see at the surface and can truly change the course of your life.
I always say this it's heart and hussle
God always provides and sometimes takes you in a different direction then what you pictured.
Trust me we are two sisters that DO NOT have it all together but willing to share this opportunity with anyone
Everyday woman doing extraordinary things.

On the move

On the move

Hey there!!  I know for some of you, you follow me for motivation and recipes and I LOVE doing that.  However there is an entire opportunity that comes with being able to share my story with others.  A little background about myself I was a waitress all through high school until age 27 when my husband and I made the choice I would stay home with our first born.  I loved working and liked the fact that when I was waitressing I was serving others and creating an income.  I hated building someone else dreams and hated working weekends but enjoy other angles of what a waitress does.  It might sound really crazy from the outside looking in but that is pretty much what I do as a beachbody coach.  I serve others, offer a service, train others to do the same, but here is the really cool thing from my kitchen table I'm making an impact.  It truly causes me to jump out of bed knowing the choice I made 22 months ago to step out of my comfort zone would make such an impact.  You see my entire life I struggle with self worth and always trying to be the best I could be.  As a coach because of being willing to put myself out there I'm inspiring others and their lives are impacted in a positive way.  Just this week a coach on my team went to a regular doctor check up and was able to come off of medication for high blood pressure.  She is someone that has been through a challenge group has an amazing transformation underway and is inspiring others to do the same.

A few other REALLY cool things about coaching when you put others first and wake up with a mindset of making a difference your income follows.  You will hardly hear me talk about income but what I do while my kids sleep and watch an afternoon show replaces the income of working as a waitress.

I set my own pace!!  It's not like working for someone and I do the same thing with my coaches if they want to run with the business I'm there giving the tools needed to reach their goals.  If they truly just want a savings on shakeology that cool too (Who doesn't like a savings).  If your someone that just wants to help a few friends and family that's cool too and I will be able to guide you in that direction.

I don't have an "office" that I report into!!  That's the cool thing about a mobile office.  In the past month I've been able to continue to grow my business while packing up, moving, and getting a house and barn ready that has been empty for 8 years.  Yes I do plan my time very carefully but in this very short life I'm willing to do the things others will pass on to have more freedom 5 years from now.  Yes I made a quick training video while painting the new place!!

This is a business you can work from your phone from anywhere!!
I was reading this morning about the perfect "career" and what it would look like
Here is the list given:
No boss
No commute
No alarm clock
No employees
No politics
No compromises
No discrimination
No education requirement
Here is what my "career" looks like as a coach:
Something positive
Great service
Unlimited income
Residual income
Enjoy people you work with
Time freedom
Something meaningful
Personal growth
Lots of perks (free trips)
Low risk (If you try it for a month and it's not for you no big deal you didn't invest $100,000)
Tax benefits (yes that includes shakeology)
Fun
Low start up cost (40 bucks)

What might hold you back?  A sense of taking a chance is involved anything great and worth while doing will take some kind of risk.  This type of business  your taking a risk on yourself.
I will be hosting a 3 day open house held online starting Monday the 22nd with no strings attached just a place to learn more about coaching and if it would be a good fit for you.  First if we are not already friends on Facebook send a friend request to:https://www.facebook.com/rachel.fledderman

Green Grape and Avocado Quinoa Salad

Green Grape and Avocado Quinoa Salad

It’s been such a full week with moving a family of five and buying our first horse.  I could not be more thrilled to be blogging while the kids play outside and have room to just be kids.  This time last week I was in the middle of packing everything up and trying to make sure everything ran smoothly and then I ended up turning quickly and fractured part of my foot.  A week later and it’s feeling much better not what was in the plans and thankful for family that helped out.  This past Monday I started a five day “Summer Salad” group that is 5 days long.  My amazing coaches put together their favorite recipes and we created this group together.  Amy within our team shared this recipe and I could not wait to try it.  As my sister headed home for a few days she made this recipe for our first family get together at the new house.  Sunday evening with boxes getting put away and beds made we cooked on the grill BBQ Pork (hot dogs for the kids) and lots of fruit and veggies.  The first of many family meals at the new place and this recipe will be served again.

Is shakeology safe while breastfeeding?

Is shakeology safe while breastfeeding?

I get this question a lot because I myself am a nursing mother. Is Shakeology safe to drink while nursing a baby? My answer will always be to check with your doctor or lactation consultant. Most doctors are perfectly okay with Shakeology while nursing. Some doctors or LC's will say no to any supplements while nursing without even looking at the ingredients. If they do this, insist they look at the label carefully. Shakeology isn't just any supplement.

My story:
I was introduced to shakeology two years ago while my daughter was 3 months old and at the time I was breastfeeding so of course looking into shakeology before using it was very important.  Things that stood out to me was the fact that it does not contain Soy, artificial sweeteners, & artificial flavoring these things alone can lead to soooo many healthy concerns and that is for another blog entry.  The thing about Shakeology is it's ALL NATURAL...no chemicals, preservatives or colorings! There is HIGH QUALITY isolate protein, vitamins, minerals, prebiotics, probiotics, digestive enzymes, super-greens, super-fruits and so much more.  I always struggled with cravings for sweets and shortly after drinking shakeology I started to sleep better and for once in my life I had energy my body felt like it was getting the nutrition I was lacking. I continued to drink it while being pregnant with our 3rd child this past year as well as currently using shakeology while nursing our 3 month old.  My favorite evening snack because YES you can make shakeology not only as a drink but as shakeology bark with some fresh pineapple.

I think back to being pregnant with our first son and at that time I was a waitress and the pregnancy increased the discomfort with fibromyalgia.  I hate to even think about how much medicine I took to keep the inflammation down.  With adding in shakeology daily to my life for the past two years it has helped bring the inflammation down due to the 70 super foods.  Other benefits more energy for the day, better metal clarity, keeps me full for 3 hours, helps with eating healthier as the day goes on.

It's so important for women to realize that what you put in your body effects your milk supply. Shakeology is giving you 70 super foods and whole nutrition. The better your nutrition, the better your milk supply!

Things to consider before using shakeology-

-If you are not used to a healthy eating lifestyle start with half a serving a day
-If you or your baby has a dairy allergy, try the vegan formulas (chocolate or tropical strawberry)
-Use Shakeology as a snack rather than a meal replacement, since you need the extra calories for your milk supply.  Or is your going to use it for a regular meal be willing to add calories to bulk up the drink like additional nuts, coconut oil, almond butter, etc.
Here are two of the three kids!! Trying to get a picture of all three never happens.  The kids are thriving in life and yes my son ask for shakeology as well. We don't go to the doctors but for shots very blessed for healthy children with great immune systems.

List of ingredients in Vegan-
As always take the facts into your doctor I hope this helps with learning more about shakeology and the benefits of adding it to your day.

21 Day Fix Fruit Salsa

 21 Day Fix Fruit Salsa
Hey There!!  I love Thursday's in our kids language it's a "stay home day".  Pretty much it means I don't have to work outside of the home and we pretty much leave the day open to do whatever they would like to do.  I also like to keep things fresh and after two years of eating clean I enjoy making one new recipe a week.  Bingo we found it!!  Not only is it 21 day fix approved but the kids loved it as well.  I'm currently in the middle of doing a hybrid schedule of working out using Insanity Max 30 and ChaLean Extreme, ChaLean Extreme is designed to strength train three days a week and let's just say on those days my metabolism goes crazy and I like to keep extra water on hand as well as enjoying a treat like this.  Even though I love the 21 day fix workouts after being pregnant and doing it for the entire 9 months I was ready to change the workouts but still follow the 21 day fix nutrition guide.

21 Day Fruit Salsa

Ingredients
1 6inch whole wheat tortilla shell
1/2 small gala apple
1/2 purple container of frozen strawberries (partially thawed)
1 tsp of coconut oil
2 tsps of raw sugar
Cinnamon to taste

21 Day Fix Fruit Salsa

Directions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
Put your teaspoon of coconut oil in a small dish and melt it in the microwave (15 few seconds).
In a small dish place one of your teaspoons of raw sugar and sprinkle some cinnamon in until you get a nice even mixture of cinnamon to sugar. Place bowl to the side.
Take the tortilla shell and put it on a cutting board. Brush some of the coconut oil onto the tortilla shell until it has a slight coating over the whole shell. Then sprinkle the cinnamon/sugar mixture over the tortilla shell.
Cut the tortilla into small triangles (chips), and then transfer the chips over to a non-stick baking sheet.
Place in the oven for 6 to 8 minutes.
While the chips are baking take your partially thawed strawberries and blend them and also dice up your apple into small pieces. Put the diced apples and blended strawberries into a small bowl. Sprinkle over your last teaspoon of sugar and mix. Put the bowl to the side
Once the chips are done, let them cool and then enjoy!

This counts as-Serves 1
1 yellow, 1 purple, 1 tsp (oils), and 2 tsps.

If you would like to join me with creating a healthy lifestyle I would love to share with you a system that works well for busy woman.
XOXO

Busy mom cooks healthy

Busy mom relies on the crockpot
The moment in the day when I sit at the computer and I wonder if I’m half-crazy or just willing to be a little crazy in order to reach certain goals in life.  Between being a busy mom of three, breastfeeding our newest addition (Henry), working with my husband for our traditional excavation business, selling a home, buying a home, and running an online business based around helping others reach their fitness goals, the days are full!!  I truly feel blessed for each of these areas that has my attention and to be honest this is how my husband and I run life the best at.  Making quick choices, multitasking, delegating, and building dreams.

I put the breaks on and looked at my own health it’s easy to give to others and YES forget about my own health.  My goal this week is to dial in on nutrition I refuse to give into my life being too crazy to not eat healthy.  I’m seven weeks into working out and loving it, yes it’s hard to drag my butt out of bed at 5:00am but I truly use that time to sweat and figure out a game plan for the day.  However exercise is only 20% of weight loss and let’s face it after having a baby weight loss is on my mind.

Busy mom cooks healthy

I have breakfast down- I drink shakeology every day to not only have the energy to keep up with the taste as hand each day but its quick and I need quick.  Lunch each day is the same salad and each week I just switch up the salad and I also pair it with a sweet potato.  I realize what area of the day I struggle the most with, is dinners.  So my goal this entire week is to hire a cook, AKA I’m pulling out the crockpot and using every night this week for dinner.

Last weeks salad  spring mix, cucumbers, sweet peppers, tomatoes, feta cheese, low sodium nitrate - free turkey, and avocado added the day I eat it. Baking off sweet potatoes to go with it, their like candy just plain my kind of carb.Bring on the warmer weather this momma is ready for sun and healthy salads.

Things to watch out for and skip the heavy, high fat & high sugar, high sodium dressings plus any candy coated nuts. Those are just a few things that can turn what you think is healthy into a calorie over load.

Here is tonight’s dinner-Sweet Balsamic Pork Roast
